Sergius Golowin

(Prague / Suisse)

Sergius Golowin is Switzerland's most distinguished living writer on art, symbols and mythology. His most recent books deal with the myth and folkloric realities of fabulous beasts, half-human, half animal. From vampires to mermaids, centaurs to sphinxes, he explores the ethnologies of half-remembered species, and the spread of consciousness around them through the nomadic emigrations through Europe's chaotic recent history of religious mania and persecution. For the Incident he will give a presentation on the ethnology of cat-people.
