An evening with HR Giger. 

To conclude the Incident Symposium, probably Switzerland's most well-known living visual artist HR Giger will for the first time present his fantastic project, the Swiss Tunnel project, with a reading from his text «The Mystery of San Gotthardo». Inspired by hearing that Hitler and his entourage travelled via a secret arrangement through Switzerland at night in a non-stop train, he developed the notion of a five star pentacle shaped «metro» system through which cars and trucks would travel underground between the country's borders. But the tunnel, as in the imagery of HP Lovecraft, may be inhabited by wild genetic mutations, the bio-mechanoids, not dissimilar to the artist's own creations. The reading will be introduced by Sergius Golowin and be accompanied by laser-disc projected extracts from some of the Giger-designed movies, such as «Alien» and «Alien 3».
